hi i have a jvc headunit and i just acquired two 12 inch subs and a boss audio 1200 watt 4 channel amp what is the best and easiest way to hook it all up thanks
yes you will need a wiring kit. I once found an easy guide for basic installation.. will have a look for it.

thanks heaps one question though how do i bridge the amp do i just connect a cable between the two positive and negative ports i want to bridge? thanks
depends on the model amp, eg. you usually use the + of the left channel and - of the right channel. but seeing its a 4 channel, you should try find out some info on the amp. might even be written near the terminals if lucky.
umm everything you need to install an amp so power cord, rca cable that other one lol umm clips thats about it im going to get it tomorrow so if your interested i can post pictures before i install it
btw, you can get cheap kits on ebay. Professional 8 Gage Complete Amp Amplifier Wiring Kit - eBay, Wiring, Audio Accessories, Car Audio, Video, Electronic, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 23-Nov-07 21:30:00 AEDST) thats an 8 gauge kit, but not sure which gauge wiring you want to run.
not sure about all the specs but i will have another look i figured that a kit like that on ebay will still be around the 30-40 dollar mark including postage so i may as well go with sony as they are a known brand i will also be able to change the amp but the wiring will stay the same if you get me i dont want to wire the car twice kinda pointless if you ak me.. was thinking of writing a how to on installing an amp tomorrow afternoon
if the sony kit is 4 gauge or larger (smaller number) then get that. otherwise, any oxygen free cable (OFC) like the one on ebay will be fine.
well i ended up with the sony kit as it was down from 90 to 60 has been quite good it is 8 gauge cable and has 3 rca cords for 4 chanels so im pretty happy have it all installled almost that and my rampage 200watt x2 amp lol
Boss and Ramage = top quality choices there :whistling ah well if it works for you.. just hope 8 gauge is enough.. if not, hopfully the fuse blows before anything else does
well it is my first setup and all up it cost me 100 dollars plus it only has to last till christmas so to tell you the truth im not bothered when im done hook up the amp into the ute or something
