    congrats on the good buy.

    1. don't put a cannon on a commodore, they are for jap cars/ricers. Go for a 2.5" catback exhaust with twin tips or something.

    2. rims, they are purely your choice. i have calais international rims on my VP and i quite like the look of them. (check it out in the my ride section)

    3. as for lowering, it really depends on your states regulations. here in vic you are allowed 100mm from the lowest point of the vehicle and i think thats with a full tank of petrol and a car load but im not entirely sure on that.

    hope this helps.

    1) If you put a cannon on it, I will track you down and steal your letterbox
    2) Try to stick with second hand wheels from other models of Commodore/HSV/Calais etc
    3) 100mm from the lowest point when fully loaded. Superlows are a good height.

The 100mm rule is without a load (passengers) but wit all fluids (so whatever fuel it has in it, full tank would be the best time to measure)

Pretty sure all the states still use the eyebrow height (although even if your car meets eyebrow heights, it may still be lower than 100mm)

VP is 320mm for the front, and 290mm for the rear. Measured from the middle of the hub to the bottom of the wheel arch.

Get a 2.5in catback exhaust if you are after a better sound. A cannon will sound crap, and generally spoil the look of an otherwise nice car.
The rims are a personal decision. Have a look through the MY RIDE section and see what people have done to give you an idea of what looks good. Rims often come up cheap on this forum.
In Vic the lowest you can go is 100mm from the lowest point in the car, but if you haven't driven a lowered car before I wouldn't be dropping it on its guts right away because you might find that it's too much of a pain not being able to go over speed bumps or into driveways. Superlows shouldn't be too low, but will still look good
