Hi all, need help with an issue I have had with my VE wagon for the past 4 weeks.

Check engine starts to flick and the car starts misfiring. Some times it may only be a minor misfire and it then cruises along like normal. But it can also start to kick and electrics begin to flicker and the engine is almost hoping along until I switch it off. I need to wait 10 to 15 minutes before I can then turn engine on and drive it normally again. I have recently been to the holden dealership who were 100% that from there findings that it was a purve valve not getting the mix of air and fuel right. That turned out to be nothing but an expensive visit.
