hi beam / indicator arm

    hi guys my hi beam stay on at night cause my hi beam / indicator arm is worn out im wondering if any1 has changed this b4 i imagiune u unscrew the platic shround below the steering wheel and basicaly pull the switch out and replace ? any advice is appreaciated cheers muz

    Yep, pretty much it. Not difficult at all. The hardest part is removing the steering wheel.

    NAAF, i hope you're not telling him to take the steering wheel off! You don't have to lol.

    It's heaps easy mate, just undo the steering column so it's loose, then pull the steering wheel all the way out and all the way down. Leave it undone at this stage.

    Unscrew the 5 screws from underneath the column cover.

    Navigate the cover past the ignition barrel and put it aside. Now clip the steering column in position (lowest possible and closest to driver as possible), this helps to unclip the top steering column cover.

    All you have to do now is undo the 2 clips (top and bottom) that are holding the indicator stalk in, then unclip the wiring. Connect the new one up then snap back in position. Put the covers back on and you're done!

    Dont forget the cruise control connector if yours is auto! Expect to pay about $50 for a manual commo (no cruise) or about $80 for auto (with cruise), from holden.
