I had a stock standard 2005 VZ Executive sedan - my family & I had a lot of fun with it.
I had to replace the ignition lock. Locksmith said that the Holden system is very secure, but the key-to-lock fit has very close tolerance, and it wears out sooner than earlier systems.
If you go through old threads on the VZ, you'll see that the cooling system is a recurring issue. More often than not, the solution is a new coolant-cap.
Eventually, the computer-system at the heart of the car fails - expensive to replace, but then your car is nearly as-good-as-new.

Thanks Shorty that kind of stuff useful to know. Mine doesn't do a lot of mileage - about 120 k /week. I might put a bit of graphite on my key to reduce the wear in that case.
