Hi Guys, recently been suffering over heating troubles. No rhyme or reason to them?
Example. Drove for 45 through the city, parked up for 1hr and my vr overheated within 10 mins of setting out again?
Anyway I have studied all the posts on here regarding over heating and have deduced it the thermostat.
Fan is not coming on.
Fan comes on with AC.
Pumps good, took off top radiator hose and started her up. Coolant pumped out good.
Refilled and bled with the bleed valve (situated on the metal tube shaped part top hose connects to)
There must be a lot of modifications around 94 as every post describes diagnosing the fault and locating parts totally different to what I have.
I have located 3 wired possible sensors around the water pump. And also a completely random rubber hose with metal nipple tube attached?? Appears to originate from the auto box. Also it has no vacuum but what appears to be oil on the nipple?
What are the following parts pictured.
Pic 1 These 2 connections are situated under the alternator. (when unplugged fan comes on and temp gauge no longer works)
Pic 2 Is a single wire plug situated on the side of the water pump (the white is the top of the oil filter)
Pic 3 mystery hose fitting, appears to originate from the auto trans? (situated under the master cylinder)
pic 4 These are the plugs taken from under the alternator (see pic 1)
Pic 5 Is this bolt the top of the thermostat?
Thanks for your help guys!
