I really need a better work space at home. My boss offered to let me take it to the shop but I know where thats going to lead. A paralyzed car getting pushed around all the time because its in the way, and I never have time to work on it. Good will runs out and I got people bitching at me to get it out of there. 17 years of working on customers cars, I see my own future lol.

Realized I never updated this thread. I sold the calais last year to my work mate (another spray painter) and hes putting a 5liter in it. Here's the Instagram thread if you want to see what happening with it now. it's had another blow over to freshen it up. Glasurit clear this time. It's headed off to ballarat to fet finished off very soon.

The ls1 drivetrain went into my vp berlina (dove grey car). Pacemakers, custom stainless Y pipe, mated to a manta rear section. 2.5 inch to 3 inch all the way back, 1 muffler no cats. Had performance 9 inch diffs in Preston build a 28 spline trutrac with an m80 center-solid spacer and spicer/

dana 3.73 gears. Got it tuned at accel garage in tullamarine. Made 246kw at the hubs.

It's actually not that bad. Gets loud when you get on it, but idling at 800rpm is pretty tame. The fb link above is the vp on the dyno. You can hear it there. I'll be putting it up for sale in the near future. I bought a vy berlina wagon ls1 4l60e.
