headers are back. its not ceramic coating, its a kind of high temp coating. will hold up to 700 degrees C. they look more of a graphite black than a jet black in person. theyre not that scratch proof either, so ill wrap them in masking tape when we install them so they dont get too scared up (might be that the coating is still fresh too). think they turned out pretty good, $385 total with sandblasting and pick up/drop off included.
new brushes for the alternator (mitsubishi alternator for ls1) heres the ones i used. i ordered by manufacturer and dimensions. the ones i bought were for a ford transit, but were the same replacements that fit mine too. i bought them from the UK, couldnt find any aussie sellers. wasnt in a rush so didnt matter. think it worked out to being $20 all up with delivery.
melt the soldier off these 2 points and slide in and re-soldier the new ones in. have to make sure you line up the holes with the slot on the inside as you have to slip a wire in from the back to hold the brushes in place.
one short old one with the 2 new ones.
