Is there a noticeable difference between the 50w and 35w kits? I assume the 50w kits are brighter.

Ok, thanks mate. I might go for:

6000k 35w H11's
6000k 50w H9's
6000k 35w H3's for foggies

The VYII Berlina foggies are H3 right?

If you want the most light output possible, go for 4000k-4300k HID kit. This gives the maximum lumens (light output) possible.

Yeah i heard that but I really like the appearance of the 6000k. I'm currently using Philips crystal visions and they are close to the 4300k of the mercs (when looking at them). A mate and I were comparing and found them to be fairly close in colour when looking at the headlights themselves.

Then we saw a commo with what I was guessing a 6000k HID kit and it looked so good. Very nice blue to it but not an over the top appearance.

Does anyone know if the foggies in the VYII range are H3? If not, what size are they?

How Can Only 4300k HIDs Give Out Max Lumens When You Can Get 15,000k HIDz???

the higher the temp of the colour, the lower the light output but the bluer it becomes. That's why 15000k is a very deep purple but a 4300k is pure white. Stick them next to each other and the 4300k will provide much better illumination.

Why Do You Type Like Thisz?

Perhaps do some research, as you are obviously not aware of what lumens and k (colour temperature) actually are.

No wonder so many people fool for the 12,000k etc. products, because they have no idea what 'k' is. They just assume that the higher the number, the better the product or the brighter the light (much the same as peak or max output numbers on speakers).

But as above, anything above 4300k and the lumens ('brightness') of the globe decreases. The higher the colour temperature (k) of the globe, the duller the light but more blue or purple its appearance becomes. All OEM/factory HID's are 4300k.
