Just asking a question for a mate of mine.

High beams come on and off randomly when driving along?? Anyone had this problem before? is it to do with the stalk. Thanks.

Take the steering column shroud off, one screw underneath at the rear/bottom of the shroud. Lower the column. Push the bottom half of the shroud toward you at the same time pushing the top back a little. Should fall off in your hands. There two small hooks at the back of the upper half of shroud which go into two slots at the back of the lower shroud, it is these your are trying to unhook. Disconnect the cruise plug if there is one, disconnect the main plug. There are two plastic clips on the switch base, squeeze these and at the same time pull the switch away from the column. Installation is the reverse. GMH advises that the battery should be disconnected when doing this. Airbag in face at point blank range can be very painfull.
