High beams flash when indicating

Hi Guys. I have a VS Equipe (with cruise controll) and have an issue when driving at night. when my headlights are on and i indicate the high beams flash on when the indicatorstalk clicks back to center, upon closer inspection i have noticed that it only needs the slightest bump forward (often a bump in the road) and the high beams flash on until i pull the indicator back, it is very sensitive and im sure im anoying allot of people along the freeway as i work night shift. Does it require the replacement of the indicator stalk or are there some adjustments i can make to the mount of the switch, a how to on replacing the blinker stalk and or adjustments would be greatly apreciated.

It usually requires a replacement stalk to fix it.
