Hey, just noticed another strange noise in my car... yay! At high rpm in 2nd i noticed a noise.... that kinda sounds like if u got a rip tie and ran ur nail down it really quick... Clutch goes in and the noise drops with the rpm... Keeping in mine i had a new HD clutch n rigid flywheel put in just the other week. Any ideas?? im starting to run out... N it only started today, before that it would go all the way to red like without this noise.... Funnily enough, there also sounds like there is a quick rattling noise that sounds like its from the driver A-pillar at high rpm aswell. I got noises all over the shop... lol ANy input would be usefull
Nope... its gone.... I tried reving the car with the bonnet popped and listening to the pullies and waht not but i couldn't find anything... Could have been a pulley caus i hadn't driven the car in ages...
an old thread but my vx whined before i got my hd clutch kit in, and it still does now...especially if aircon is on...its twice as loud easily. my car makes a wierd rattly noise at high revs, sounds like gear box area or drivers footwell... not complaining about (turbo lol) whine, just the rattle worries me.
my vp had a high pitch sound at high rpm, it was low gear box oil, almost sounded like a turbo spooling up, turned heads
