Started the car up and let it idle to warm up the oil before I changed it and heard a high pitched squeek, not continuous but intermittent but very short gaps in between, very rapid.

After changing the oil I let it idle again to check for leaks and heard the same noise again. Any ideas appreciated.

thanks

Or if it sounds scratchy like a bearing could be an idler pulley on its way out, or harmonic balancer?
Check all the pulleys run straight and dont wobble.

All the symptoms of serpentine belt squeal. If you have an 2009 car it will be a pretty worn belt now so I would change it anyway if the noise keeps up.
