Just got quoted $400 (genuine) parts and $200 labour to replace high pressure line on the wifes 1990 celica.

Is this price reasonable - any suggestions? Where can I go in brisbane to get a second opinion?

cheers

$400 sounds a bit pricey for a hose. I would have thought it would cost $150 max. If it is anything like an 89 Celica it will be an absolute mongrel to work on so $200 to fit it is probably ok.

Thanks for the reply. I reckon it's much the same as the '89 - looks a real pita. I have sourced a hose for $100, and would happily pay $200 to get it fitted. However, if I can fit it up myself I save $500 all up - that's a few slabs for the weekend ;)

Found a mechanic that will fit the host for $100 plus $100 for aftermarket hose. $400 saving :)
