Hip Hop

Being in a group where nearly all of my mates are into rock music I never get to talk about Hip Hop to anyone. I love hip hop religiously. In particular groups such as The Roots, De La Soul, A tribe called quest, The Fugees and blackstar just to name a few. I also like Nas, Common, Gza Genius, Mos Def, Rakim and heaps of others. Im not into alot the the commercial stuff. Are there any other Hip hop lovers who share the same tastes as me on this site?

Only hip hop I listen to is Beastie Boys, Cage, Yak Ballz and the rest of the Weathermen. Only got into Weathermen because my favourite singer appeared on one of Cage's tracks.

If you don't know Weathermen, check them out anyway I think they're pretty well unknown here.

Yeah dude I like all that **** too. Busta Rhymes, The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Redman, Wu-Tang Clan (Especially Method Man, Ghostface Killah & Raewkon), Nas (Illmatic is probably my favourite album of all time), Mos Def (Black on both sides is a sick album) and the list goes on.

Yeh I agree with Illmatic. I got Method mans latest album today its pretty sweet. Also got The Roots new album Game Theory last week. I think there one of the best non-well known hip hop groups of all time (maybe except for De La). It is a great album.

Yeh Coolvncommodore the Hoods are hip hop. I went to see their show in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago they went off.

Yeah ive got it too. How good is Dirty Mef with ODB. Thats sick man...If u like Method Man you should check out Blackout! Its Method Man and Redman...Wicked Album.

'Hip hop is dead' is the name of Nas's upcoming album. I think thats what he joking about. Or he just hates it.

Yeh dirty mef is a good track. I like 4:20. Its a bit different and the scratching on it sounds awesome. Are you into Gza?
