Headers do not really change the sound of an exhaust.

But HM Headers are louder as the material is not as thick. The actual exhaust wont be louder, you will just hear more noise from the headers. Like comparing a VN S2 with their cast iron manifolds to a VN S1 with tubular headers which, apparently, where made by HM.

What gives a better note with a redback 2.5" exhaust HM or pacemaker headers on a v6 ecotec?

Thanks

I am in the same boat as you - going for Pacemaker $540 supply / fitted in Adelaide

This is my old car.

2.5 Reback, HM Tuned Headers, rear hotdog resi.

YouTube - 2002 VX V6 2.5 exhaust @ 20sec there is idle and takoff sound example.

As it has been said, headers don't change the sound of the exhaust much, maybe make it a little louder.

Cheers

In Adelaide, why dont you just go with Advanced headers. I went with Genies, ceramic coated and i am loving them. Still look new, never have to clean.
