Holden 4L60 Gear Shifter for VL

Hello,
I was wondering if a VL V8 trimatic gear shifter can be used for a 4l60 VR 5LT auto box, or alternatively has anyone use a VR gear shifter for a VL?

Drill trimatic shifter hole out so 4l60 adjuster piece fits through hole & slap it all back together.

Hey mate, what does the standard vl trimatic shifter look like? Is it a linkage type or cable and if it is a linkage is it left or right slide, i am trying to find one to replace a b&m pro ratchet shifter for registration but there are 3 diffrent types
