Hi guys,

I've had a look on a few Astra forums and can't find anything.

My partner and I purchased a 2005 AH CD Astra, subject to a few things like service etc.

I noticed while driving, I could push the gear select from Drive into Neutral without engaging the button.

I know in my Commodore there is no way to go from Drive to Neutral without engaging the button.

The dealer said he will get it looked at, and that it may be normal, but I think he's full of it.

Is this, in fact, normal?

Thanks :)

Yep normal operation. Reverse requires button and brake from memory.
