Hey guys So I went in a work trip to Moranbah which is a 12hr drive from Brisibane. Yesterday when we left Moran bag the coolant level was just over the max line. We stopped at Bilo last night and are continuing our drive today. We just stopped for a piss break at Kilkeivan and there was no coolant left. We topped up before we left, an it was the same when we started our return journey. 800kms going at 130kph and there is no coolant left? Is that normal or what? 2009 holden Colorado that's travelled just under 80,000kms. Woul be great if you guys could shed some light
Maybe fill it again and with car running have a look for any leaks. Also car running pop the bonnet and have a look around. Is the radiator cap loose when its completely screwed on? I hope you don't blow a head gasket or crack/ warp heads. Some one can correct me if I'm wrong
So I got home and did what Beav said. Coolants fkn pissing like no tomorrow. parked her on the grass and placed those little buckets you get for going to the beach to build sand castles with. Will upload pics soon of how much it has leaked in my driveway and how much into the bucket. Neighbour is a mechanic so I will get him to over and give me some advice. Fkn pissed me off so much. at the rate it is leaking there wont be much left tommorrow.
Yeah, last service we had done he told us tht there is a dent in the radiator. I told my prick of a boss and he said " Oh nah, Holden are stingey people and there just lying". Ahwell, He will probably shrug it off again. The day it fks up I will demand a new car. Should have mentioned it in the first post. Heard you came pretty close to buying Trayners ute. That's what I think now. Ahwell, boss learned his lesson. When he rings up Monday morning asking where the fk I am Im going to tell him. dmb fk deserves it!
The coolant that has collected in the bucket since 12:20pm Might be a bit hard to see on because of the colour, but yeah.
