I respectfully disagree, the posts about religion on previous pages contained simple facts that are backed by evidence.
The post about the Jedi mind trick was a reference to your claim that your thoughts are being controlled. And that such claims are simply a work of fiction. It also seems to have had a delayed but significant effect on your sentence structure, a relief for all that read this thread.
I dislike left wing pinko, politically correct, sticky nosed, social justice warrior busy bodies just as much as the next free thinking individual. In my personal experience they are extremely vocal minorities that have very little in common with the average person. My strategy for dealing with them is to ignore them. I go about living my life without their influence on a day to day basis. I have yet to come across a law that has stopped me from speaking my mind or doing what I believe to be reasonable. I don't see squads of brown shirts walking the streets kicking in doors and beating people senseless. There are no secret thought police taking people away in the middle of the night because they don't like sexual congress between two people of the same sex. Almost all of the people I interact with on a daily basis are reasonable people that hold opinions of their own and allow me to do the same. The media has a habit of sensationalising fringe elements, perhaps you need to stop relying on it so much. Ignore them and they will go away.
I hold fairly contentious positions (for a lot of people) on a number of subjects, religion, privacy, road safety and sexuality to name but a few. However this does not in anyway effect my employment prospects, personal freedom (arguable exception, road safety), or happiness.
In a nutshell I live my life by my own rules, and because they are almost all based on logic and reason, I run into very little trouble.
In short, don't be a ****. Unless of course someone is a **** to you first. Then by all means be a ****, but make sure you are better at it than they are!
Thing is you have an opinion that all will be fine and don't read into what the governments are up to, there intentions are leading to enslave us under PC socialism.
No one have ever cared about two gays living together or came knocking on their door telling them to stop, it's insane that people think that some how anyone was ever doing this in Australia, but as to gay marriage that's a another thing in it's self, any schmuck should be able to get a partnership, but don't call it a marriage because it's not truly a marriage at all in fact, but the thing is drongo morons and bastards are insisting on calling it a marriage and people who know what the word truly represents don't want it bastardised, because it's highly provocatively offensive not to mention truly degrading and dragging the true worth of it all down into the gutter, just as PC socialism does with everything bastardising, it's blaspheme satanic in fact = working to be leading people astray.

A man and a woman can have a partnership as well and that's what most truly are nowadays, because they think ok I want to pack up and leave at any tick of the clock, **** whoever they want ect ect it's not a marriage even if they think it is, because it's not the true definition.
