I had missfires in my car which haunted me for the better half of a year, it would come and go all the time randomly, I had all the spark plugs replaced and got all new coil packs in the end which fixed the problem.
Now, a couple of weeks after, I'm getting fault codes I've never gotten before.

U0121 no communication with ABS/ESP
P0008 malfunction, camshaft timing (bank 1), intake
P0856 traction control input signal
ESP 8.1
C0242 ESP control

What the hell, never had these before, now all of a sudden they all pop up at once.
Car is running very smooth with no noticable faults.
I don't want to take this to a machanic and be taken advantage of and charged thousands of dollars for what could be just faulty sensors or wiring.
The car has done a whopping 180,000km but has been serviced every 10,000.
Can someone please shed some light into what's going on.

Thanks Lex, will do.
You think it's just an electrical issue?

What is the condition of your battery?
Try turning the ignition on, let it go through its self test, then crank the engine.

SS Commodore - Ford Territory ... both camps
The proliferation of ABS/ESC/Trac control errors could all be attributed to a broken or loose rear wiring harness connecting to your rear brakes. I hear it's quite common and a cheap and easy fix. Also, low battery/voltage is common to throw these codes.
