Really, well I’m flabbergasted, I hope so for your sake because I’ve been praying and asking St. Joseph to intervene for her safe delivery into your hands.

You're spot on mate. I am very very happy with the car. Extatic actually. I'm also satisfied with the follow up support from the dealer, so far. I also appreciate there was only so much the dealer could do once the car left the dealership. For the most part they have been great to deal with. But, I just had to have my say about the delivery experience. Believe me, I know all too well these are first world issues. I feel privileged to own her, and count my blessings every day for all that is good. Just venting that's all.
    She's a beauty!!!!!!!

This is why I have a strong dislike of people. No fckn respect for others and their things.

She does look pretty good though Cuda.

I would be ropeable. At least she is now home safe, in a good home, where her future will more than make up for her entry into this world.
    Sublime.

WOW Holy sh*t! I feel bad for you. That thing looks like it has been taken for a bit of fun on the dirt and not by the dealer, but by the cowboys at the trucking company. I guess transport mode would still be on or not? Would want to know how many km it had when it left the dealership and how many it had when it got to you. I can attest that your car would of not left the dealership like that, nor would of your box of goodies been open and dirty hand prints left all over the place, I just know the guys there would not do that, also because there is no dirt anywhere near the dealership. I would blame sole 110% blame on that trucking company. Name and shame them mate, so others dont use them. I used CEVA and they were great.

Aside from all of that your car looks awesome in the sun and with that bonnet decal.

Just looking back at your pics from when it was at the dealership I just notice, fuel consumption sticker is missing, the special load sticker is missing, the dealer stock sticker is missing, no plastic on front seat or steering wheel. Fu*k that mate, I would be taking action against that trucking company quick smart!

    Cars

That’s very unprofessional from a carrier that’s employed by a dealership.

When Holden asks for your customer survey I’d be sending photos off to show what a dreadful state it arrived in and that the presentation box was opened.

The dealership would be fully aware of the high expectations many of their customers have for their new cars and should have drummed those expectations into the carrier.

Good on you for not taking a backward step.

I’ve had a few cars arrive that were not up to scratch and for the most I’ve been happy once everything was sorted even when resprays were required.

But when I found out my new VF2 Ute the last new Holden I’ll probably ever buy had the driver’s door resprayed before delivery I was saddened to know that I’ll never be able to say she still has her original factory paint.

Still your car is going to look horn when she’s cleaned up.

If I can offer a little advice and you and your detailer may already be all over this but in case during all the excitement it does gets forgotten, make sure the rims are removed and have the detailer apply at least a couple of coats of Scotchgard or something similar to the felt type material under the front inner guards and as a minimum apply a couple of coats of paint sealer over the rear plastic inner guards.

You’ll be surprised how much easier future cleaning will be with a hose or wipe down being all you’ll ever need to do and they’ll resist stains and baked on road grime much better then untreated guards.

I applied 3 coats to mine along with the brake calipers and rims myself but you’re now in a position to have the detailer do the work and charge the dealership for it as their goodwill for ruining your delivery day.

Happy motoring, it really is stunning.

Sorry to here, any 2nd hand dealer selling a old VT would present car cleaner than that, get all you pics etc and send to transport company asking for full refund(get the misses to ring), for someone to go through paperwork etc and leave mud in car is crap.

Name and shame in no joy

Yes, I'm reluctant to publically dump on anyone. At least until I have a few more facts. I need time to go over the car a bit more closely and send a report back to the dealer.
It wasn't in transport mode. It had 10k's on the odo.

The dirt will wash off mate. The screw up of the NOPD rests with the dealer. I'm not saying they're bad. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances. But having specifically orders NOPD, and stressing this to the dealer several times. I feel very disappointed about this. It cant be undone. All that's there is some plastic on the sunroof and protective film on the touchscreen.
I've asked for all my plastics and stickers to be sent to me. So I can fit them on for some pics. I'm sure that's now impossible. St least I have the pic from the dealership with the yellow loading sticker.
'm not one for playing the blame game. But it is what it is I'm afraid and ultimately, despite extenuating and mitigating circumstanses, the dealer is responsible.

Thanks mate. That's exactly what I thought re a second hand car.
I'm in the process of taking this up with both parties. Nah, The Mrs has a short fuse lol. I stay calm and apply pressure in varying levels as and where needed. I've done plenty of high level contract negotiation over the years and I'm very confident of being at least compensated for this.
Sometimes a blow up is great. Usually it results in a lose-lose.

Such a crying shame one of the most anticipated arrivals in the MSE thread turned up like that. I don't know why these numbskulls never put temporary mats in and insist on leaving the windows down when transporting cars. Probably the same guys that moved my car (and also added some Kms to it) with mud on the carpet and under wheel arches - and it took weeks to get from the factory for whatever reason. She still looks great dirty and will look spectacular when detailed and treated. Looking forward to some happy snaps! (I trust the Scotch helped the pain)

Exactly, they are responsible for the acts and omissions of their subcontractors which in this case is the transport co.
