    You do realise that even at stock 13.3 psi boost the Volumetric Efficiency (VE) of an F6 is like 7.6 litres naturally aspirated?
    That's totally uneccessary in such a poor performing chassis, quite dangerous. Whereas boosting a Holden V8 to equivalent VE, NA or otherwise, does totally wipe its arse with that sort of output. But there's more to be said for Holden's handling, refinement and efficiency than outright volumetrics and peak HP.
    Same goes for the most inefficient engine ever out in a 'sports car', the LSA, which has VE of 10.48 litres! Just nothing good to say about it vs tweaking the Holden V8 slightly to make same power out of a six litre. LSA and LS9 are overweight, overdone over-the-hill in years to come.

    MSE is a hot factory Holden, something missing for decades, yes. Just as those two you mention are fine examples and serve a place in history, so does MSE in the 21st century compliance era.

    SC is likely photographing and cataloging every bit of plastic he takes of his NOPD car :) I'm sure once that's done he'll be driving it around for the first few days like the rest of us and then we'll hear from him.

    That is great news gla, and the weather is meant to be good this weekend (for Melb.). Will you have a chance to drop in to the dealership tomorrow to check it out? Don't forget the camera :)

    Why would you compare a stock Redline to a highly modified F6, seems a bit pointless doesn't it? especially on this forum where many of the members are wiating for the LE's to finely be delivered. Maybe, in red bold, you should show
    SSVR = 250rwkw. F6 = 251rwkw for what its worth

    It's pretty obvious he's a troll just here to stir sh!t... In another thread he was bagging Redlines as being 4wd's, now he's harping on about Redlines/MSE's being gutless and underpowered compared to his highly modified Fords and that MSE owners should have just bought a second hand GTS instead.:rolleyes:

    Tell t
    A top fueler? A car with half the cylinders and half the power, that kicks it arse around a track? A car you can take on holidays with a full load, towing your boat, that gives great fuel economy and is loaded with modern creature comforts? A Hyper car? The best four door performance sedan ever built? There are many cars that cut it. But, nah, you've made it then hey. Coz, no car ever made more power than that. Oh, hang on http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-sho...nger-srt-demon-specs-info-photos-performance/

    ...Not to mention a chassis that can more than cope with that amount of power, as opposed to struggling with a stock N/A six.
    Not everyone aspires to have a mega boosted Falcon six. They're a dime a dozen. I could buy one tomorrow. But, no thanks. Coz for me, it's an overpowered, poor handling antiquated taxi, that just doesn't cut it.

    G'Day Cuda, First time I've seen the Demon, what can you say apart from Struuuuuth!!! Have read a fair bit about the Hellcat though. Seems some manufacturers aren't too happy with Ford having a muscel monopoly here once the VF finishes up hence talk of Dodge bringing in the Charger or Challenger or both. GM have no answer until the new version of the Camaro in 2021 (current version too expensive to engineer in RHD). One would think it would be worthwhile re-doing the figures at Elizabeth as a scaled down operation. (you wouldn't think there would be too much in capital overheads). Sorry for being a little off topic but I am a fan of the ZL1 (it is GM) here's a link to what happens when you mix the Alpha platform with 650Hp. 180mph in a production car with no roll cage takes some balls, you don't get to walk away if something goes wrong.

    Yes, I realised that after I posted, sorry:) Great opportunity to run her in on the way home, only issue is how do you avoid a constant speed? Come around the coast and take a couple of days?

    I will be taking the direct route and will also have a L plater driving some of the way. He will be varying the speed with the way he drives. I'll vary the cruise control set point.

    Hey Martin,

    Yeah strewth alright. Only Mopar would be caraazzy enough to build anything like it.
    It'll be interesting to see what mother Mopar brings over. I've always been a fan of the Challenger. The new Charger doesn't work for me as a 4 door though. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of the ZL1 too. It's a far better package than the Hellcat Challenger. As awesome as that is. Have seen the Nurburg lap before. Love it!
    As for building them here? Sad to say, but I've given up on the idea.
