Drove past my local Holden dealer this morning. The yard is looking very different, there is empty space that used to be crammed with cars, the front line along the road has changed, what used to be brand new Colorado's and SUV models are now used cars, I saw a Mazda, a VF and various other Holden models but still not really seeing the ZB. It seems they are selling what stock is left and then who knows?

11k off is nothing once you drive out the car lot you just lost about 15k in resale / trade in price.
That's a typically negative view. 11k off is a damned good discount if you were comparing apples for apples. You get a 49k car for 38k. So, the Opposition is still around 45 to 50k, you buy one of them, and they drop by 10k or so immediately too. You're still well in front. Keep the car long enough and it's overall depreciation, amortised over the length of ownership, breaks down to an acceptable level. And you've had a better equipped model than you might have been able to afford when you bought it.

I've noticed that my local Holden dealer has pretty much nothing but Base model Colorados and a couple of Equinoxes. No ZBs, No VF2s.

Finally saw a Holden clearance event advert last. Pretty nondescript and likely done on a shoestring!

After decades of everything must go adverts, this is the first true one?

If there are the dealers probs already know how desirable they are and will try and rip you off as much as they can.
