Just like the meat pies in Holden’s jingle. Pies can vary in quality, even if they look the same.
The original Opel was a doughy underbaked cold pie.
The VB was warm pie filled with gravy.
After the VN, they started putting mince in the gravy.
The VT had chunks of meat in a hot pie.
The VE was the gourmet, very hot pie.
Sorry, boys, the bakery is closed.

in today's market , a pie , no matter what the filling , while still satisfying , no longer is good enough .

The only problem with a good steak'n'cheese pie is that one is never enough!

Seeing as I have multiple Commodores the pie analogy seems appropriate.

Steak and cheese pies , are my favorite , not often I have one . but still , on the pie topic , my SV6 is a steak and cheese pie, the Alfa Romeo , is Tuscan braised beef cheek , topped with crushed sweet potato , with a grilled parmesan cheese crisp , and wild rocket salad with cherry tomatoes ,
Now if you don't mind I'm off to the local butchers to buy some beef cheek for dinner .

Pies are great, the problem is that sometimes you feel more like a burger or a spit roast.

True, but a roast is more of a weekend or Sunday night affair, to me, a pie is a any time, any day deal (although my doctor would disagree :( ), especially when it goes with a Coffee from my favourite bakery.

I tend to side with some people's comments that Holden will die in the future, I feel that GM will eventually realize the Holden name can't save them from years of bad management and decisions in this country and will kill it of to replace it with another GM brand in the hope of lifting car sales in Australia
