Thats what im doing, 383 stroker. LS1 would be nice but i dont want to spend too much.

old school 350 is the only way to go in an old girl.
To much mucking around with a ls1. Easy hook up with carby 350, and you can go quicker, CHEAPER

Exactly, 2nd hand engine should be cheap, i know an engine rebuilder who can do the block and heads (CNC ported , valves, RR's etc) eagle 383 stroker kit from Chris Mills Performance over here in WA $1100, single plain manifold, 850 barry grant, my msd set up and manualised t700. Hope (though it wont be the case) to do this for around 5-6k....

sounds the goods mate, i got my intake done at kwinana performance. Raced the senator at potorplex, nice trak, had to move to sydney for work.
Got any pics of you hz, i'm still doing up the ute, which is my avatar pic..
I would go the t400, 700 are good for the extra gear, for cruising..
You should get away with it for that price. Chris mills is a good bloke.. knows his s**T

True, just click "the HZ" button in my sig for pics, nothing special yet. Had many different plans over the year but most got canceled. Finaly decided to go the bigger cube n/a option.

Chris Mills are good, gave me some good discounts from time to time and your right, the man himself is bright guy. I did a bit of work at Kostecki Engine Center last year so I can get any machining done there at a reasonable price.
