VE CALAIS DEC 2007
Just for interest from June 2006 and June 2005 Commodore sales are down 10,000 cars and at the moment they are down 2000 cars per month.
Toyota is the top selling Company with 104,619 cars sold to date followed by Holden 74,399 then Ford 60,277, good to see Ford is well down.
Still that is a lot of Osca dash in anybodys language.:bang:

I dont think the large car sales slide was because of people waiting as for new models as a whole. You could probably blame the last few months for that but not the whole year. Hopefully the VE will just halt the Commodores downslide because I dont think it can actually force the large car arket back up. If petrol went down to $1 a litre than it would but I dont see that happeneing. I think they have set a good platform with the VE. Even if they dont sell all that well now they can improve on it e.g. slightly smaller engines, better transmissions. If they had a good economical engine and got rid of the 4spd auto the car would sell like bloddy hotcakes.

i think with the VE V8 having the cylinders cut out when not used will help those who are fuel/dollar conscious and give the impression of "helping the environment"

Um pointless thread - this is not new information and has already been pointed out, with the VE release so close to June/July people who typically buy Commodores would [wisely] be holding off until the release of the VE.

Ford havent imported the Econovan since the end of last year, they all would be 05 compliance plated because the engine didn't make the new emission regulations introduced at the begining of this year.

And the Zafira has been discontinued from the Holden range for donkey's ages, see they also list the Jackeroo:p
