Hey, just quickly i have minimal mechanical experience so terms etc could be wrong So iv been having this issue where my temp gauge is going back and forth from medium to hot.. iv check coolant it only took a little less then a liter and this did stop the problem from being so frequent till now.. which was surprising seeing as it was basically full. I took it into my mechanic so he could have a look and he seemed to think it was the thermostat but i have been noticing theover heating smell when i pop the hood it doesnt stick but its there. Anyway so today its hotter then it has been and the temp warning pops up then goes away then back etc thought nothing of it then i got the Power Train alert never had this before couple of hundred meters down the road the car started to shake? so i turned it off and left it.. Anyone had this problem or have any idea what could be causing this also is there anyway they could be connected? As i said little knowledge but i dunno if i can drive it home from work tonight ha cheers
First things first, check your coolant level when your car is cold via the "Radiator" cap and make sure you are topped up. If not top it up and perhaps bleed the radiator before driving it home mate!
Also apart from the obvious above try filling up the coolant and bleeding air out, I had air in my system which would do the same, minus the car shaking however. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
