My reading tells me that download sales are coming off and people are transitioning back to the tactile product.

I'd say Spotify and other streaming sites have got a lot to do with those falling sales figures. Just wondering how long it's going to be before CD's have the axe fall on them.

Just about all the kids (and many adults to) now solely use Spotify on their Phones and PC's for those (Gamers) that still use them.

I doubt it, my boy uses spotify at home/work but his car is full of CD's.

As an owner of multiple ICE vehicles i'm upset with the whole electric car industry. I pay a lot of taxes/levies (via petrol) that goes towards the upkeep of our roading network. I don't see electric vehicle owners helping pay for the roads they drive on.

You will when Govco works out a way to install car only meters at homes etc and over taxes the energy supplied by those meteres.

And you see that happening any time in the next decade?

Nope, the better way would be to put in place a RUC (road user charges) system like diesels have here in NZ where you pay by mileage and weight class which they should do with petrol as well and take it out of the petrol levy as it would be much fairer.

I have no idea.

One thing I do know is that Govco is heavily addicted to fuel excise so will certaily construct another method of excessively taxing us.

I still feel the love for NZ but just can't afford to live there any more.
This "well-being" thing sure is expensive to promote and maintain.

95 will be $1.70 here in a week or two. They love to use any excuse to jack the price and the bombing of the tanker the other day will be enough for our fuel to rise by 6-7c per litre.
As for CD's nearly everywhere in Launceston that sold them have stopped. Sales will one day not be enough to make them viable. Vinyl will always have a place especially if the are original. But CD's I haven't bought one for 15 years. I don't use Spotify much but I can buy a whole album on MP3 for $1.20, songs are normally 10c each.
CD's sound better than MP3 but I carry all my music on a stick that is less than 2cm long. CD's are good but they get scratched in my bus.

Funny how fuel went up about 5 cents today, only a few days after crude oil price went up. Yet takes a few weeks to a month to drop when oil prices go down

Brent crude price has dropped 18% since April but we haven't seen a corresponding drop in fuel prices. This week it came down 2cents/Litre, but no doubt with Iran sabre rattling prices will soon sky rockets. Better hope those ZB's start rusting away faster, less weight = more economy :)
