Yep right through (get out the big power tools) the air box and inner guard at the same time, as the base is held there by two small bolts remove one and use the bolt hole as the centre, the skin fitting will hold the base to the guard with it and the one bolt NP.

It don't really matter exactly where, so long as it's there.

The washer botle stays, as does the pressure container, they are not touched.

Of course don't drill through the harness...

Anything is possible with power tools and some logical thinking, but the airbox is not the only the different part in the induction system.

It's likely cheaper to modify the V6 air box and either fit the GM CAI or make your own.

When I first asked about the stock CAI units at the wreckers, it was told that they were like hens teeth.

isnt it a bitch to try and get HSV parts because you need a HSV VIN number to get them or sumthin?

if not, i wouldnt mind getting a HSV CAI instead of just a S/C CAI

If you see a HSV parked just pop out the phone and type down the VIN number, but I assume you might need more details then that.

Just don't get caught doing it, seeing as that's how you can get a key made, do it to mine and your phone will be in identical pieces matching your leg bones.

Not a good idea getting caught by anyone doing that.

Dont take it personal, we are not here to make keys and steal cars.
