Hi all I was just wondering what is involved in installing a hood vent/scoop, as I have moved my pod filter up near the throttle body and to take care of the heat I wanna have a hood vent/scoop above the pod, I have the vent/scoop already and am just wondering what is the best way to:

* cut the hood
* fasten the vent/scoop
* laws about this type of mod
* effect case by this type of mod, eg, water getting in the pod filter
* painting, paint before or after fitting the vent/scoop
* will it do what I hope it to do, counter-act the heat from the engine

thanks for your posts :)

cut hole, remove number or numbers from letter box, stick on.. :) As for the cops itll prolly b 4 blocking vison and other motorists cant see where your looking at intersections and other bull **** like that :ranting:

Wouldent it be nice to hit a magpie or a crow doin 80 have it go int ya engine to get chopped up by the fan or torn appart but the belts and then having to pull over and get all the bird bits out.

mmmmmmmm... :shutup:

Narrr like this

The vent/scoop i have is like the badly draw pic (hey its not a mouse its a lil joystick on at laptop) its made from metal with a chrome mesh to sort of filter the air, so help please not just a smart ass reply, so once again the questions put foward in my first post, I feel this setup would be better then CAI or just a pod under the hood, the air getting rammed down that scoop at speed would be enough to take care of heat issues from the engine, even just driving down the street I think it would cool enough for a good pod setup, so plz any thoughts and answers of the first post would be great
