Hooking up Coolant Hose

Hi!
I do not very much know about that Commodore but yesterday it broke down, cause the cooling hose, which is usually connected to the engine block, slipped off. That much I know. (it is obviously...)
Now I would like to reconnect the hose to the engine or the pump, which supports the coolant. But I can't see, where the hose should be placed.

Can anyone help?

On the 202 the bottom radiator hose connects onto the water pump, the top radiator hose connects onto the thermostat housing.

They are fastened with a hose clamp

Sorry Joerg, but this is funny. How can it fall off? Most of the time the dang hoses are so melted on, it's almost impossible to get the dang thing off unless you cut it off with a stanley knife. :bang:

Hi again! Thanks for your advice.
Attached I put a picture of my (I am sure: easy) issue
One of the hoses of the coolant tank (one goes to the radiator, that one is still fixed), the other one is loose.
So, where do I have to put the end of the hose??

We thought you were talking about the other hoses, not the overflow hose.

No, sorry, the other one goes already to the place, which is shown/marked in the picture. Where does the other one belong to?

Where does the hose already on the radiator cap go to? If it goes to the ground or nothing, it's not the right way to be set up. Where I pointed in the picture, that hose goes to where below the radiator cap is and the other hose from the overflow tank goes to the ground. From the look of the picture someone hasn't hooked up the hoses properly.

If one of the hoses from the overflow tank is already connected to the radiator, the other hose simply goes through a gap in the chassis and points to the ground. It's an overflow excess drain hose. It releases excess fluid if the tank is filled too full. When the motor cools down, the radiator cap does its job and the coolant from the overflow tank flows back into the radiator.

There are two hoses connected to the cooling tank:
one goes from there (out of the picture) to the radiator; the end of this hose is shown, too.
the other is connected to the same lid, but is hooked up to nowhere.
