As it says in my VY exec my horn just stopped i held it in for about 10 seconds than went to press it again and it didnt work????? any help cheers
Jbird: some how the alarm does work it went off today... hakhawk: i did i changed it and still not working... i might double check thought just to be sure
If your alarm works then it sounds like the "switch" is the problem. Time to take off your horn and check that it's grounded and all wires are plugged in! And the horn makes contact! xD
My VP has a seperate horn for the alarm, so i'd assume they havn't changed their setup, so it doesn't sound like that. If could be the plug that earths to the steering column. What or who were you beeping at for 10 seconds?
I'm fairly sure the VY's have 2 horns but are both linked by the 1 relay which the horn and the BCM have access to using [according to the wiring diagrams]. If the Alarm works and the Horn doesn't then it's a fault with the Horn, if both dont work it could be the relay or both horns!
u need a new horn, easy fix same thing happend to mine, it shorted from the saftey sticker behind airbag and blew the horn, it by passes the fuses thats why its dead
