How long has this problem persisted ?

Has anyone performed any electrical work on the car recently ?

Sounds like there could be unwanted or false messages being sent to the BCM whenever you activate the wipers. Perhaps the BCM itself is faulty !

If you are a member of an Auto Club (RACQ, RACV, NRMA, RAA etc) suggest you contact them and have a mobile patrol call at your location. They may be able to assist with identifying thew problem(s).

If you are unable to understand the electronics of your car suggest you seek the services of a component Auto Electrician.

Be wary (cautious) of taking it to a Dealer as rthey often don't have Auto Electricians and may call in an outside Mobile Tech. Would likely cost you heaps.

    Good luck.

Also sounds like there could be stripped loom and two wires are shorting to each other. Would be looking around the wiper and indicator stalk (which themselves could be faulty), steering column etc.

What happens when you use your hazards or beep your horn on their own?
