Horn stuck

My horn is stuck and won't stop. It's definitely the switch in the steering wheel. Is it ok to open up the wheel and check it out myself? I'm worried about the airbag. I;ve done it on older cars with no air bag, just worried about the VT.
Any tips?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal mate, this will disarm the airbag.

the horn contact is in the airbag itself, you will need to replace it.
disconnect the airbag fuse & wait ten minutes, then go ahead & do the job.
