    G'day,

I have a 'sports' steering wheel (SAAS) on my VR. Everytime I turn the blood wheel, ie going around a roundabout the bloody horn goes. People just look at me like im some kind of road rage nutcase :bang:

Where is the horn under the bonnet? I'm just gonna cut the bloody cable??

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

why dont you stop being lazy and just fix your horn?

Its most likley that your horn ring is fouling on the wheel or something very similar.

    Horns are very important.

There mounted under the front bumper drivers side below the headlights if you must dissconnect it.

    aZk.

replaced the ring, still does it. checked the wiring, still does it.

Might be down the steering column under the dash somwhere, im not about to go and pull it apart during the week when I have a heap of other sh!t to do and work in a few hours.

Just pulled the fuse and relay out for now.

Horn is easy enough to get to, but you need to determine if its the wiring at the horn or the wiring in the steering wheel/column. I would grab the horn and just see if you can move it, maybe its just sitting a bit loose and the connector is grounding.

you said you replaced the ring... in my boss kit the ring is fixed to the boss kit... if your ring can move around by itself thats probably whats causing your problem, but then again your boss kit might be a different story.

had this problem and mine was because the horn ring became unglued and it kept fouling and jamming in the steering column... the horn going off is bad enough but mine jammed my steering also...

anyways back to your problem is... does your horn ring move freely? coz i dont think its meant to, other members may be to tell you whether this is correct for your particular boss kit.
