Hot days while driving!

Hey all,

just curious with the hot days that are happing, how much hotter is ur motor running?

my vr is up near half way on temp gauge where normally its 1/4, but new engine is going in next week hopefully fix this problem(heavy pistion) recos under warrenty:)

just curious.

my VN is only running one bar hotter than normal, thats middle of the day after driving through traffic ETC, sitting at lights it will hit halfway then drop back.

My temo gauge doesnt work very well, so i can't really tell :w00t:
But I can feel everythings a bit hotter around my feet when im driving

Mines the same even with the air con going :confused: certainly doesn't take as long to get to normal operating temperature though :)

i dont seem to get much difference. then im not really driving excessive k's to notice it. Air-con always seems to bump it up a bar or so, but i havnt really used it yet this summer....

VS and VY.

I have a VS and a VY.

On the open road, I see no difference.

Around town, both cars run a bit hotter until the thermo fan cuts in. No change to maximum temperature, though on very hot days, the fan cuts in more often.

I thought my temp was running warm with the warmer months LOL but after driving around (at night MIND YOU) and seeing the attached image, I took the car to my mechanics and found my thermostat permanently shut!

operates now about quater temp - keeping in mind I have CAI

Yeah, that tends to make them run a bit hot. :w00t:

I have a 'couple'
mine runs at around 2nd bar driving normally.. but can get up to about half if stuck in traffic - this is surprising really seeing how much compression it runs!
