Hot foot rest?? anyone?

Hey i got a VU ss 6spd and i find that the foot rest get very warm.
Was told to check my colant however no problems there.
I have had pace-maker headers and a dual exaust done could this have anything to do with it?

Sounds like what i had with my old vn commodore, worked out it was 1 of the coolant lines leading into the cab. $120 for a new brace pipe and heat GORN
