high rev stuff is sexellent but my timing chain is stretched i think , as i have a rockle noise & not a rattle noiose . [berp/end berp]



no - u need extractors ! but high flow cats r suss IMO .

i had a barina ! with a hotdog at the end , sounded ok .
when the centre muffler went , we put another hotdog in & it was most excellent for a 1.4ltr go go go !

Well the extractors might have to wait a bit until the funds allow but are you saying that two hotdogs would probably sound better then one?

i had to turn the volume rite up on my computer & opened it with media player classic .

two hotdogs on the small barina engine sounded better than 1 . ....

edit: i started the car , got out & walked around to the noisy end , then back to the engine bay & yoinked on the throttle cable , then back to the noisy bit .

That sounded alright, thanks for the clip, so that was your ute with just extractors/high flow cat 2.5" with a single hotdog?

So do you think two hotdogs would sound better then one on a V6 just like the barina? I am guessing two hotdogs would probably just make it a little less raspy and maybe a little deeper and less drone too maybe?

I reckon a sports muffler is better,I had a 2 an half inch one on my vh and got more power better economy and I removed second muffler and people thought my straight 6 was a small v8.

The thing is i currently have the stock centre muffler/resonator dumped at the diff which i thought would be relatively loud when i modified it but the thing is it isn't, that's why i have been thinking of a single or twin hotdog system because wouldn't a single sports muffler be very similar to my current setup?

Thanks for the opinions though, its hard with so many choices :thumbsup:

my mate has vy ss ute with pacys to a twin system with 2 resinators...sounds insane! i hope to get my lukey mufflers on my senator pulled off and replaced with some hotdogs coz atm it way too quiet.

When you say resonators i presume your meaning a two mufflers or you mean two hotdogs? Your lucky with V8's though :cry:
