Theres supposed to be air passing through the lifter valley and crankcase area of the engine, the PCV system passes clean filtered air through the crankcase etc to collect blowby gasses so they can be burned off in the combustion process instead of being emitted into the atmosphere like it was on old non emmission cars. .. Buick never made a 5lt engine for commodores.
