Garden variety x force painted 2nd hand mild steel headers have have a step to clear that shaft …these are short tube headers that bolt to 3 inch skinny cats and of course it was necessary to unattach the steering shaft to fit them but the shaft went back on without issue and has plenty of clearance after fitment and never touches anytime.
my car had stuffed engine mounts as well and the drivers side header still didn’t touch .

i had the pacemaker 1-7/8 4:1 on mine and i had enough room even with lowered engine mounts, VE does have pinch clamps at the rack and a bolt that when thru also holds in in place so it cant vibrate off even if loose, may be able to loosen it a little and lift it up if it goes a little further may help
Might give that a go

If these are the ones no amount of tweaking mounds or shaft will clear them properly, I had to massage one of the pipe in with oxy acet and a hammer as it hits on the steering shaft itself

I can just fit my hand up to my knuckles between headers and steering shaft

Yeah that’s what mine look like. I ended up jacking up the car and lifting the rack across and wedging a bar down between the extractors and the rod.
Tighten her all back up and now she’s all good. Cheers everyone
