how can i tell wat type of gearbox i have?

    I want a short shift but somne say for t5 an stuff but how can tell what type mine is?
    Its a 5 speed manual in a ute

    is it series one or series 2?
    series 2 has the getrag box, series one has the T5

    usually the getrag whines like hell in first gear and is the easiest way to tell the differnce

    Would a 94 VR series 2 ute have a Borg Warner? is that the T5?

    Yes BW T5 g/box.

    Vs had a g/box change in the ser2 but im not sure if it was all of them or it transitioned in some way through ser2. Easy way to tell, if it is a cable clutch its a BW T5, if its a hydrualic clutch then its the getrag box.
