The most easily recognised detail I can recall is the grille. It was clear plastic on S1 and body coloured on S2 but I doubt you'd find many original VP grilles now.

Executive/Berlina or higher spec? The coloured grill mentioned above is best for lower spec. The higher spec S2s (Calais/SS/HSV) almost always had the ABS/IRS combo with a badge below the stereo.

I was referring to exec and Berlina levels. I recall the Calais had a bloody horrid looking clear grille too.

Ooo, yes, you're dead right. There is a black and chrome badge on the garnish panel.

Also had em on the front guard.

Its weird cause my standard VP v6 IRS executive has no series II badge on the boot or anywhere on the VP... And what's even more weird that my VP has abs and IRS but no series II badge and they only made IRS in some standard VP executive series II

Def sounds like a special order, dealers even fitted turbo kits to 202's if you had the coin.

That's off tap, honestly it has me lost for words cause the comments up top saying - series 1, came out with a clear see through grill and series 2 came out with a coloured grill...... And my vp executive has a clear see through grill but it has ABS and IRS.. Its just weird cause I'm the second owner i brought it at 181,000,00 on the clock and the first owner was a old guy who passed away and it had been sitting under a tree for 7 years before I brought it
