The most easily recognised detail I can recall is the grille. It was clear plastic on S1 and body coloured on S2 but I doubt you'd find many original VP grilles now.

Scroll down and read my comments?? And another thing was can you tell from series 1 to series 2 in the engine bay??

I have no idea what you mean by the first sentence and no idea how to answer the second, other than by checking the build date on the id plate.

Can't say I've heard the VP S2 IRS thing before. IRS (and probably ABS) was standard on the VQ which was introduced during the VN's lifetime, so I doubt that IRS was only available on S2 VPs.

My VP v6 IRS executive has all of these, and there's 2 things it doesn't have.. is a coloured grill "mine is see through" and I don't have a series II badge on the boot or anywhere else and I've tried looking if it ever has had a series II badge and i can't find anything... Well least I've got a fair idea its a series II but doesn't say anywhere

It's an old car now. Who knows what previous owners have done to it? There are numerous threads on this forum about how to de-badge cars and some guys just don't like cluttering their cars up with excess decoration.
