how did you remove center bearing?

    as said how did you remove your center bearing from your vs? im replaceinf uni joints n me mates vs and saw his center bearing is craked . im unsure if he wants it replaced now but im looking at how to do it. i did one on a vn years ago but forge how i did it (just getting teh bearing off, rest is straight forward)

    You need to split the shaft in half. Mark the position on the two parts that are held together by the 6 allen head bolts. This exposes the CV joint. Mark the position of the inner part of the CV in relation to the outer part. You will need to wipe the grease off to do that. Remove the circlip from the inside of the CV housing. This exposes the splined shaft and another circlip. Mark the position of the inner part of the CV in relation to the shaft, then remove the small circlip and pull the race off the shaft. This exposes the centre bearing which can now be removed and replaced.

    When putting it all back together, make sure you fit it as marked as this will ensure the drive shaft goes back together in the exact same way negating the necessity to have it rebalanced.

    either with a press once all the above mentioned things have been done or use a big hammer and a cold chisel or drift....
