    Hey fellas
with the shocks off the car, how would you give them a bit of a check? I'm guessing they would be easy to push and pull?

Are shocks -like- easier to "pull apart" than "push together?

Hard ? Really hard? Quite hard? Not very hard? (To pull apart/push together)

    Thanks! :)

push them all the way in. there should be a good strong even resistance and a squeeking sorta noise.

if the resistance isnt smoth and the shocks kinda 'spit' then it has pockets of air in it and its shagged, also if it doesnt return to full open position it may be shagged too, however my impala shocks proved the exception to that rule because they didnt return to stop right 'out of the box' think theyre designed to just dampen at mid stroke.

I took out the STANDARD shocks from the back (his car is on SSL's). Shocks are rooted. Put in new Munroes, which are a good 6" shorter than the old ones! No wonder it was giving me whiplash every time he hit a pothole!
    Thanks fellas
