Do I have to take off the bumper?, as the screws seem to go downward on an angle through the bumper to meet the lip. its genuine by the way.

if you take it off you can proberbly get it to line up better but I dont imagine you would have to remove the bumper if you want to do it the lazy way would just be a matter if you have the correct tools to screw it on while its on the car

Yes, you will need to remove the bumper as the screws that hold the lip on are screwed in from behind.

There are little bumps/dots behind the bumper that act as a guide so its easier for you to drill then line the holes up with the holes in the SS lip.
