hey, how do you bridge a inhibitor switch?? (reason being is i'm putting a manual box in and keeping the auto computer and wiring, was told this is fine) i have looked through the forms and could not find anything on the how to, i no its probably easy though my knowledge is not too good lol.
Theres a couple of wires you have to bridge under the radio surround ( about 6inches in front of the shifter). Though, I can't remember which ones - I'll see if I can find a link.
Just join them together but its not a good thing as it will start in gear and you might have a very nasty uccident. Hey I saw a guy get run over at the drags because his auto car had no inhibitor and it started in gear and ran the guy in front of him over, it wasnt a nice site. I wouldnt do it as a permanent thing but more of a way to check if the inhibitor is working even though you could do that with a test light.
Yep I did the first time 9 days ago, but I didnt the second time I replied , I thought my first answer was simple enough as the guy above me said to bridge them but he didnt know which ones, and I didnt bother reading it again, just started typing Easy to do just find the two purple wires they will go in the inhibitor side by side and then just get a bit of wire about 50mm long with two male terminals and plug them straight in the female terminals on the inhibitor switch.
