How do you pull the taillights out of a VE sedan?

I was washing my car today and noticed a fair bit of dirt around the tail lights in the recess under the boot lid. So I tried to pull one of the taillights out by removing the 3 10mm nuts holding them in but the light won't come for free and I don't want to break it.
Are they glued in place or is there an easy way to get them out?

I haven't done a sedan(utes are easy) but have been told the rear bar needs to be removed.

Wow that's a lot of work just to clean them up. I will have a look at the procedure for removing the bumper..

After the 3 nuts are undone they just pull out, they have clips on the bottom of the light that slot into the bumper, you just need to use a touch more force and they will pop out

Might do this. My lights are collecting dead moths. Not sure how they even get in there? I guess that's the life goal of a moth though. To leave people wondering how they found their way in.

Cheers guys. I will try again and this time remove the globe holders first as shown in the Link. Maybe they hold the tailltail in if the screws come loose..
