wasn't in my manual (for an Omega).
maybe Calais V's have more details manuals, being they have projection headlights?

It is a prick of a job the first time round, thus so many threads on it...and no pics in any of them

If you've ever changed a head light globe before on pretty much any car, its the same same just a little tight.
Does my ssv have protection headlights? Haha.

the trick that I learned is that it's pretty easy to put the new bulb in upside-down, which makes focussing them afterward particularly tricky ...

I think the H1 & H4 combination used in the VZ was much easier, and put out just as much light.
I think that the change was a poor choice by Holden's design team.

if it's upside down, you beam will be way out of alignment.
the only answer is to unclip the bulb and rotate it, and re-clip it.
It goes in easier, if it's the correct way.

well they went in fine, and the lights seem to be ok, can you insert the globe into the clip both ways or does it only fit one way? also you talked about focusing them, i dont see how you can change anything to do with focus.
